What to Expect
Our Policies
- No contracts!
- Next day service is available in most locations for new customers.
- We will consider you our customer from season to season until you cancel.
- We cannot cancel service on your scheduled day, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required.
- Our prices are posted on this website and are based on gross lot size. Please see the "Prices" tab for details.
- 13% HST will be added to all fees.
- Unusual properties may need re-pricing after first visit.
- VISA, MASTERCARD and AMEX only (no cash/cheques).
- All services are conveniently charged to your credit card the next day after each visit.
- In an effort to reduce paper usage, your credit card bill will be your invoice.
- Declined credit cards will be retried 48 hours after the first try. We will attempt to notify you by phone after a second decline and your service will be suspended until the balance that is due is paid. If you do not respond within 24 hours of our call, there will be a $50 processing fee added to your balance and your account will be sent to a collection agency.
- Private information securely stored for company purposes only and will not be distributed to other sources.
Lawn Service
- Service includes mow, line-trim (next to garden beds, foundation and fences) and dispersal of grass clippings from hard surfaces such as your driveway, patio and walkways.
- For your lawn's health we will mow the grass at 6.25cm (2.5") high until mid-May, then cut 7.75cm (3") high for balance of season.
- Grass clipping are left on the lawn to replenish the soil but we will ensure that there are no clumps showing.
- It is impossible not to get any clippings in your pool; however, we will do our best to minimize the mess.
- Overgrown yards or hiring us for less than six mows per season are subjected to an additional 50% fee per visit.
- The lawn mowing season is 31 weeks long starting the second full week in April and ending after the first full week of November.
- A calendar will be issued showing the mow schedule if requested.
- Due to bad weather, we may be forced to mow your lawn a day or two later than usual, but we will return to the regular schedule the following week, weather permitting.
- Workers are careful to avoid pets escaping; however, we do not assume responsibility. It is highly recommended leaving pets inside or kenneled on your scheduled mow day.
- If necessary, free combination locks are provided for your back gates to ensure access for our workers.
- If we cannot unlock your gate, the back yard will not be mowed. The price will remain the same.
- Please call within 24 hours of service for complaints or damage claims.
- Weekly customers are allowed up to two skips per season with 24 hours notice. Any more than two skips and you will be converted to bi-weekly service with a corresponding increased fee per visit. No skips allowed for bi-weekly service.
- Bi-weekly lawns that grow too fast or are watered and/or fertilized will be converted to weekly service after notice is left on your voicemail or in your mailbox.
Spring Cleanup
- All work will be completed in one visit.
- Book your appointment before April 15.
- Service includes leaf and fallen branch removal on lawns and gardens. These will be left on the curb the week before the municipality's scheduled removal/pickup for your area.
- We expect to remove about 90% of the debris from your property; we cannot achieve a higher percentage without charging more.
- We are unable to visit a property more than once. Refunds/discounts are not available. Special consideration will be taken for egregious oversights on our part. (Please notify us within 24 hours of service.)
Fall Cleanup
- All work will be completed in two visits or less.
- Book your appointment before October 31.
- Service includes leaf and fallen branch removal on lawns and gardens. These will be left on the curb a week before the municipality's scheduled removal/pickup for your area.
- We expect to remove about 90% of the debris from your property; we cannot achieve a higher percentage without charging more.
- We are unable to visit a property more than twice. Refunds/discounts are not available. Special consideration will be taken for egregious oversights on our part. (Please notify us within 24 hours of service.)
Driveway Snow Removal
- We will remove snow from November 15 to March 31 and when the accumulation is 2" (5cm) or more per snow event.
- Walkways and steps to your front door will be cleared.
- We will return to clear the bottom of driveway (windrow) after the municipal plow if necessary.
- Salt or ice remover can be applied upon request (extra charge).
- Sidewalks are handled by the municipality but can be cleared upon request (extra charge).
- Special requests are available, and prices may vary depending on request (i.e. back door access, etc.).
- Although we are very careful, we cannot assume responsibility for damages to your driveway or curbing caused by our machines.
- We generally start working when the majority of the storm has passed. Unfortunately we cannot offer a time guarantee of when we reach your driveway, but we will do our best to be there in a timely manner.
